Euphoria Mobility, better known in the Netherlands as Cabman, experienced a year full of highlights. The software company from Tilburg introduced the brand-new MDT this year, an improved version of the Cabman BCT. Although the taxi industry is deeply ingrained in its DNA, Euphoria aims to spread its wings to other sectors in the coming year.

The first sector Euphoria intends to explore is the fleet sector. "We are still exploring our options, but I expect that the fleet world aligns best with us," says Chief Operating Officer Toshin Tjin-A-Sie. "We started with software for planning packages from the taxi industry. Later, we ventured into hardware. Initially, we sourced these externally, but later, we started developing them ourselves. Over the years, we have increasingly incorporated hardware into cars. Ingredients were involved that we can also apply in other markets."

One of these is implementing software that maps the maintenance status of vehicles. "We then build a modem and a CAN interface. This interface can read maintenance signals, including location provision, tire pressure, vehicle battery status, and various other maintenance signals. This information is accessible through a personal portal and an API. By employing such technologies, fleet owners gain enhanced insights into their vehicle fleet."

Middle East

Euphoria Mobility is active not only within the Netherlands but also beyond our borders. The software company serves clients in countries including Switzerland, Finland, and even the United Arab Emirates. Especially in the Middle East, Euphoria aims to further expand its network next year. "In such countries, they often seek more than just a taxi meter," says Toshin. "For example, they want the vehicle to be locked immediately when the taxi meter starts. ''They also want software that regulates if a driver exceeds the speed limit three times during their service, the taxi meter is blocked. These are features that may not necessarily be applicable in the Netherlands, but they are all functions that we have in our product package."

It is clear: Euphoria Mobility aims to grow next year. "Regarding the fleet sector, we are initially focusing on the Netherlands. When it comes to taxis, we are particularly looking at the further rollout of our MDT and expansion abroad. We do not want to run into multiple challenges simultaneously. Introducing a new country and a new market entails a lot of innovation. We want to do this in phases."
